We met Dave Proctor and Serena Ngo by contacting them regarding the sale of our home in Chatsworth, Ca. They came highly recommended by a friend, and we did our research as well. We have been in the industry as brokers for over 30 yrs, but were retired and not licensed in CA. Dave responded promptly and set up a meeting at our home with him and Serena. Dave and Serena arrived on time, in professional attire, and very well equipped to present and answer the many questions regarding the market trends, comps for our home and their sales strategy. Dave's team was impressive from the start in that they were not only professional, but friendly and very, very knowledgeable of their market. We opted to use their wonderful staging service, without which it would have taken us at least another month, probably more, to clean up and stage the home as beautifully as they were able to do in about a week. We listed at the end of February( List date in MLS was 2/20/22020) and had a very successful open house. Then Covid 19 hit. It was a very scary market place we were now facing as new and very rigid regulations were being place, then showings of homes were altogether prohibited during the months of March and April. Even when the showings were allowed, it was with even more rigid regulations with numerous additional paperwork attached. Our first contract fell apart because of Covid, so though we had a beautiful home to sell, we were very nervous and worried, as we also had a home we were building and moving to that had a deadline that the builder was not willing to work with us on for close of escrow.Dave and Serena were the calmest and the most capable duo throughout this process. They worked diligently and tirelessly to sell our home. They answered our calls readily at all times. They have such a great relationship with their networking partners that they were able to set up a contingency plan to bridge the sale of my home and the purchase of the new home within a couple of days with their lender contact, relieving us of the strain we would otherwise have had to weather. The home sold in May and closed early June, at the price we were satisfied with. Through all this process Dave was always available on the phone, in person if need be with a mask on and at 6 ft social distance away, but his presence was felt mostly in the level of confidence and amount of work he and the team put in, in a very trying time. He never promised what he could not deliver, and both Dave and Serena are exceptionally ethical agents we have had pleasure of working with.
